Miss Earth RI pageants provide the official Rhode Island delegation to compete in the national United States Earth and Teen Earth United States pageant system to be held in Laughlin, Nevada, on August 1^-4, 2010.  The subsequent winner will then compete in the International Miss Earth** competition to be held in Vietnam.

Along with Miss Universe and Miss World contests, Miss Earth is one of the three largest beauty pageants in the world in terms of the number of national-level competitors to participate in the world finals. The reigning titleholders dedicate the year to promoting environmental projects and addressing issues concerning the environment.

Barbara Lee, the preliminary organizer, actress, stuntwoman, and pageant winner herself, is proud to present Miss Earth RI 2010.  Barbara says, “Miss Earth RI pageants are an excellent opportunity to showcase Rhode Island’s beautiful, talented, and environmentally-conscious young women.  RI’s 2009 delegate, Amy Diaz, is not only the reigning Miss Earth United States; Amy went on to perform admirably at the international pageant in the Philippines.  Rhode Island has a lot to offer and I would love to showcase it to the world.”

The 2010 Miss Earth RI pageant will be held on June 13, 2010 at the newly renovated RI Center for Performing Arts (former Park Ave Cinema) in Cranston, RI.
